I take this essay for my portfolio from my freshman year writing class. I apologize for the lack of citation, which is some how missing. The essay looks at the case of Botham Jean who forgave his brothers killer, as well as the role that forgiveness plays in the media.
This essay was originally written for my Creative Non-Fiction class. In the essay I explore the importance of caring for others and the way that we are taught to do so is becoming out dated, and in need of change.
